The AR6102 is Atheros' second-generation Wi-Fi solution designed for portable consumer electronics devices. Its compact size, low power consumption and fully integrated design make it easy to add Wi-Fi to many battery-powered CE devices such as books, smartbooks and tablets, internet radios, printers, remote controls, and smart grid devices.
The AR6102 is directly connected to the antenna, eliminating the need for complex RF tuning and calibration. It is fully shielded and includes an integrated high frequency reference clock, making it the smallest and lowest cost, complete 802.11b / g solution on the market.
